Since 1993, Coats For Kids has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars so
children can go shopping and buy a new winter coat.

"We saw the need in our community with the Salvation Army. The need was greater than the supply,"
said WTOV9 Vice President and General Manager Tim McCoy.

This year, amid hard economic times, there is an even greater need for Coats for Kids.
But even through these harsh winter months, kids are still going outside without a warm coat on their back.

In response, WTOV9 -- in conjunction with many fund raising events across the valley WTOV
will be able to distribute Coats For Kids proceeds to eight local Salvation Army units.
The Salvation Army units will then outfit needy children with coats.

Thank you to all of our supporters -- without you, we couldn’t make it possible.

Let's work together to make this a great winter for local kids!
